For World Down Syndrome Day on 3/21, we wanted to do something special to celebrate. We've created a version of our favorite "Be a Little Extra" design with blue and yellow glitter, the colors representing Down Syndrome. This design is so adorable and really pops with the accents of blue and yellow glitter. We're selling this design on black long-sleeve tees (pictured) and short-sleeve tees.
This design, inspired by The Lucky Few community, has three arrows to represent the three copies of the twenty-first chromosome that leads to Down Syndrome. People who have Down Syndrome are a little extra in all of the best ways: extra kind, fun, compassionate, loyal, and brave. We all need to embrace that little bit of extra inside of ourselves, and these shirts can remind us of that.
20% of the profits from these shirts will be donated to PALS, a nonprofit organization that creates immersive, inclusive experiences for young adults with Down Syndrome and their peers to build friendships, promote independence, and create a more inclusive world.
Kaitlin and Lindsay have experienced first-hand the impact that inclusion and equal opportunities make for everyone, and PALS helps create friendships that change the world! PALS also runs the Congratulations Project, through which new parents of babies with Down Syndrome are sent letters from PALS campers congratulating them on their new babies. This mission of shifting the narrative away from "I'm sorry" to "Congratulations" is so important.
These shirts are currently available in black and white in sizes Small-2XL. If you need a size or color that is not available, please send us an email at email@example.com.
